Thought of the week: I recently came to the realization that there are lots of dogs in the world, and lots of people, and even many some would call "dog-people" but I've yet to meet a people-dog.

Saying bye to the Mcconkie family, one of my favorites in the 3rd ward!!

The Mcgees:)

Treating hermana Reza to icecream before she leaves... I love these spanish sisters!

Driving to Vegas? Don't worry we got permission...;)

Yo quiero mi companera!!
I feel that grandpa Johnson would appreciate that inspiration I received while standing on a doorstep with dogs barking at us:)
this past week has been a whirlwind of miracles and suspense for the coming transfer. The results are in and.... I'm going back to YSA! the same area I was in 6 months ago. With Sister west from Australia, mate! I'm. so. pumped. Some missionaries wouldn't like going back to an old area but this is really an answer to prayer, because I loved that area so much. At the end of this transfer I will have been in the same apartment for a year because I'm literally moving back into my old room:) Rose Park can't get rid of me! It was bitter-sweet as usual to say goodbye, but I don't technically have to say goodbye because my current area that s tiny is encompassed by my new/old area that is huge since it's YSA. So I'll still see Godelive and Claudine and others in passing and get good updates from Sister Aguilar who will be across the hall with the tongan sister, sister Fatani who is coming to be Sister Aguilar's companion. she came in with me and Ben's girlfriend was one of her teachers in the MTC. small world! I will miss being companions with sister Aguilar and teaching children and being surrounded by cute babies from time to time.
This week I was seeking to know better how to follow the spirit and for further knowledge of how the spirit communicates with me. Friday night, after dinner, two of our appointments cancelled and so we decided to say a prayer before we moved on to our backups. I didn't have a vision or a voice speak to me, but I jsut had this gentle but firm feeling that we should go visit a less active woman who had been interested in learning more about the gospel but had fallen through on the appointment we set up a few weeks prior. well, we got there and she and her family were all outside playing basketball. After playing with them and getting to know the kids for a couple of minutes, the woman said "do you want to share a message with me right now? even if my fiance and his kids don't want to listen, I will" We had a very strong spiritual experience as we talked to her and when we invited her to church she said she would come if we could help her find something to wear. Luckily a bunch of sister missionaries had left clothes in our apartment that they didn't want so we took some to her. On sunday she texted us as we were about to walk over and get her that it just wasn't going to happen so we went in the chapel and minutes later she appeared with her fiance's little 9 year, all dressed up! It was a wonderful feeling to know that we followed the spirit that night. I know the spirit doesn't have a loud voice, but if we heed it's gentle promptings, they will continue to come.
I know miracles are real, angels are around us, and God will be on our right hand and on our left if we will accept the atonement of His son, Jesus Christ. Accepting the atonement is a continual act as we choose the right everyday and learn to do what he would do when he would do it. this is His church restored to the earth and I can't wait to go back into downtown Salt Lake and share our message with everyone I meet there!
Love,
Sister Pearson
cool scripture that refers to the Book of Mormon: Ether 4:17
